The short version
The privacy of your data—and it is your data, not ours!—is a big deal to us. We will never sell it. We will never share it except to provide the service you asked for, or when the law requires us to. We collect only what we need.
This document explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to write it in plain language; if anything is unclear, email us at support@pixeltrace.dev and we will explain.
What this policy covers
Pixeltrace is operated by Pixeltrace.dev ("Pixeltrace", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy covers how we handle personal information collected through pixeltrace.dev (the "Site"), our waitlist, and, when generally available, the Pixeltrace session-recording SDK and dashboard (together, the "Services").
Pixeltrace is currently in pre-launch. Today the Site primarily collects waitlist sign-ups. The sections describing recorded-session data apply to the SDK and dashboard once they are available to you.
What we collect and why
Identity and contact information. When you join the waitlist or contact us, we collect your email address (and any name or company you choose to give us) so we can reach you about the product and respond to your messages.
Website analytics. We collect limited, privacy-respecting analytics about visits to the Site, such as pages viewed and aggregate referral information, to understand what is useful and improve it. We aim to avoid invasive cross-site tracking.
Server logs. Like most services, our servers automatically record requests, including IP address, browser type, and timestamps. We use these logs to operate the Site securely and to detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and spam.
Session recordings (SDK customers). When you install the Pixeltrace SDK in your own Flutter web application, the SDK captures rendered frames and interaction events from your end users so that you, our customer, can replay and analyze those sessions. That recorded data is your data. We process it on your behalf to provide the Services. You are responsible for configuring privacy masking and for telling your own users what you record, as described in your agreement with us.
When we access or share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We access the information in your account only in a few specific cases: to provide a support request you have made (with your permission); to investigate, prevent, or address suspected abuse or security issues; or when we are legally compelled to by a valid, binding legal order. Where we are legally permitted to, we will notify you before disclosing your data.
We use third-party vendors and hosting partners to run the Services, for example infrastructure hosting, email delivery, and analytics. These subprocessors only handle the data needed to perform their function and are bound to protect it. A current list of subprocessors is available on request at support@pixeltrace.dev.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know what personal data we hold about you, to access or correct it, to request its deletion, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, or to be removed from the waitlist, email us at support@pixeltrace.dev and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. You can also unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that email.
Data retention and deletion
We keep waitlist and contact information until you ask us to delete it or until it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected. When you ask us to delete your information, we remove it from our active systems promptly and from our backups within 30 days.
For SDK customers, recorded-session retention is governed by your plan and your settings; you can configure and request deletion of recordings through the dashboard or by contacting us.
How we keep data secure
We take measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit between you and the Services. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to follow current best practices and to fix issues quickly. To report a security concern, email support@pixeltrace.dev.
International data transfers
Pixeltrace is operated from the USA. If you access the Services from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed there. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of personal data out of the EU/UK.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
